The main tourist attractions in Shenyang include the Shenyang Imperial Palace, one of the two remaining intact palace complexes in China, featuring exquisite ancient palace architecture and rich court artifacts; Beiling Park, which houses the Qing Zhaoling, the mausoleum of Emperor Huang Taiji of the Qing Dynasty, with towering ancient pines and majestic pavilions; and Shenyang Fantawild Adventure, the largest theme park in Northeast China, offering a variety of science fiction and interactive experience projects. Shenyang’s Main History 
With 7,200 years of human culture and 2,300 years of city history, Shenyang became the Manchu capital in 1625 and the founding site of the Qing dynasty. After 1949 it emerged as China’s foremost heavy-industry base, earning the nickname “Republic’s Firstborn.”

Shenyang Imperial Palace

As one of China's two remaining palace complexes, the Shenyang Imperial Palace was built in 1625. It is not only a magnificent ancient architectural ensemble but also an important part of the Ming and Qing imperial cultural heritage, listed in the "World Cultural Heritage List". The Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum is renowned for its multi-ethnic style palace buildings and rich collection of cultural relics and treasures.

Shenyang Botanical Garden

The garden served as the venue for the 2006 China Shenyang International Horticultural Exposition and is known as the "Expo in the Forest". It features a collection of horticultural and architectural masterpieces from five continents and key cities in China, with a total of 100 exhibition gardens. It is a multi-functional comprehensive tourist attraction integrating green eco-tourism, exquisite garden art, and cultural landscapes.

Beiling Park (Qing Zhaoling)

Beiling Park is the largest park in Shenyang and a renowned tourist destination combining Qing Dynasty imperial tombs and modern gardens. It is the tomb of Emperor Taizong, the second founding monarch of the Qing Dynasty, and his empress. The park boasts both ancient traditional architecture and modern amusement facilities, making it one of Shenyang's famous historical sites.

Zhang's Former Residence

Zhang's Former Residence was the official and private residence of Zhang Zuolin, the last head of state of the Beiyang Government, and his eldest son, General Zhang Xueliang. It is the best-preserved celebrity residence in Northeast China so far. With towering buildings and connected courtyards, it is filled with a strong cultural atmosphere of the Republic of China era and is known as the "First Celebrity Residence in Northeast China".
