Guilin boasts the most beautiful landscapes in the world, with the essence of Lijiang River as its core, blending the beauty of Elephant Trunk Hill, the quaint charm of Yangshuo West Street, and the magnificent scenery of Longji Terraces, each a perfect fusion of nature and humanity.

 

Guilin’s Main History
Over 2,100 years ago Qin Shi Huang opened the Lingqu Canal and set up Guilin Commandery, giving the city its name. From the Tang through Qing dynasties it served as a regional political and cultural center, and in 1982 it was listed among China’s first National Famous Historical & Cultural Cities .

Lijiang River Scenic Area

The Lijiang River is the mother river of Guilin, famous for its clear water and unique karst landforms along the banks. Taking a bamboo raft ride, visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of variously shaped peaks reflected in the water, forming picturesque landscapes. The Lijiang River is beautiful in both sunny and rainy weather.

Elephant Hill Scenic Area

Elephant Hill is named for its resemblance to a giant elephant drinking water by the river. The elephant's nose extends into the water, forming the round Shuiyue Cave with the mountain body, creating a unique view. Climbing to the top of the hill, visitors can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire Guilin city and experience the charm of "Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven".

Two Rivers and Four Lakes

Including the Lijiang River, Taohua River, and the four lakes of Gui Lake, Rong Lake, Shan Lake, and Mu Lake, they are the main water systems in downtown Guilin. Taking a night boat ride, visitors can enjoy the beautiful night scenery and unique light shows, experiencing another charm of Guilin's landscape.

Longji Terraced Fields

Located in Longsheng Autonomous County, Guilin City, they are one of China's most beautiful terraced fields. The terraced fields wind from the foot of the mountain to the top, overlapping and staggered at different heights, showcasing magnificent rural scenery and unique ethnic culture.

Yulong River Scenic Area: Mainly known for upstream tracing and rafting, the scenic area offers breathtaking views of peculiar peaks, clear streams, and pastoral scenery along the way. Taking a bamboo raft ride, visitors can experience the tranquility and harmony of nature, making it an ideal destination for summer vacations.

Yinzi Rock

A national 4A-level scenic area famous for its stalactite wonders. The unique stalactites in the cave are even more fascinating under the illumination of colored lights, showcasing the exquisite work of nature.

This area integrates history, culture, and natural scenery, representing the typical history of Guilin. Climbing to the top of Unique Peak, visitors can overlook the panoramic view of Guilin and experience its rich historical and cultural heritage.

This historic ancient street is filled with exotic charm, with shops lining the streets, making it a great place for shopping, dining, and bar-hopping. It's especially lively at night.

Ten-Mile Gallery

The scenery along the way is picturesque, and cycling is the best way to explore. You can enjoy the rapeseed fields along the route and the intertwining peaks on both sides of the Lijiang River.
