Main History
Known as Wu and Chu in the Spring & Autumn period, Anhui became Jiangnan East Circuit under the Song. Established as a province in 1667 CE, its Huizhou merchants dominated finance during the Ming–Qing era; during the Anti-Japanese War it was a base for the New Fourth Army. Today it is a key western wing of the Yangtze River Delta integration.

Hongcun and Xidi: These two ancient villages are the treasures of Huizhou architecture, with white walls and black tiles, small bridges and flowing water, presenting a picturesque view of the Jiangnan water town.
