Administrative division
China has a three-tier administrative division system of province, county and township, as well as special administrative regions such as special administrative regions, municipalities directly under the central government and autonomous regions. Currently, there are 34 provincial-level administrative regions in China, including 23 provinces, 5 autonomous regions (Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Tibet Autonomous Region, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region), 4 municipalities (Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing) and 2 special administrative regions (Hong Kong and Macao). This pluralistic and unified administrative management system not only ensures the centralized leadership of the central government, but also takes into account the characteristics and development needs of various regions.

Founding time
On October 1, 1949, Chairman Mao Zedong solemnly proclaimed the establishment of the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China on Tiananmen Rostrum. This day is designated as National Day in China. The founding of New China marked that the Chinese people had stood up and opened a new chapter in the construction of New China.

Major Festivals
China has a rich tradition of festivals, which not only carry profound cultural heritage but also reflect the spiritual pursuit and life interests of the Chinese nation. Among them, the first day of the lunar new year is the most solemn and important time for family reunion and celebrating the end of old year and welcoming the new. Celebrations include pasting couplets, setting off firecrackers, eating New Year's Eve dinner, paying New Year visits, etc. In addition, there are traditional festivals such as the Loong Boat Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Zongzi Festival, and the Qingming Festival, which are all important in Chinese culture. These festivals symbolize family unity and are celebrated with activities such as visiting ancestral graves, dragon boat races, eating Zongzi, moon gazing, and moon cakes. Together, they form a rich and diverse festival culture system in China.

Ethnic situation
China is a multi-ethnic country, with 56 officially recognized ethnic groups as confirmed by the central government's survey and statistics. The Han people constitute the largest population group, accounting for over 91% of the total national population. The remaining 55 ethnic groups are collectively referred to as minority groups. In the long-term historical development, various ethnic groups have formed their own unique cultural traditions, languages and scripts, religious beliefs, and living customs. The Chinese government has always been committed to promoting equality, unity and common prosperity among all ethnic groups. It implements the system of regional autonomy for minority nationalities and safeguards their legitimate rights and interests as well as the right to self-government in autonomous areas. All ethnic groups together form the diverse yet unified family of the Chinese nation, and have jointly created a splendid Chinese civilization.

Chinese culture is profound and extensive, encompassing not only the aforementioned basic information but also numerous fields such as calligraphy, painting, opera, martial arts, and traditional Chinese medicine. Each of these represents a crystallization of the wisdom of the Chinese nation. China is welcoming friends from all over the world to explore this ancient and vibrant land with an open and inclusive attitude, and jointly promote cultural exchanges and prosperity in the world.
